Join us and take your career to the next level
At Kalmar, we believe that the best decisions are powered by great data. We are looking for a Market Intelligence Manager to be the driving force behind how we understand our industry.
In this high-impact role, you will be the bridge between raw global data and executive action. You aren't just managing a database; you are building a sophisticated "intelligence engine" that helps us understand our competitors, predict market shifts, and identify the next big opportunity before anyone else does. If you are passionate about the intersection of business strategy, data science, and human storytelling, this is the place where you can truly leave your mark on a global scale.
What are your key responsibilities:
- Global Market & Competition Monitoring: You will lead the end-to-end process of tracking market shifts and competitor movements, ensuring the timely delivery of actionable insights that directly influence our global business strategy.
- Executive Decision Support & Investor Relations: You will provide top management and our investor relations team with evidence-based narratives and quarterly market outlooks, supporting both high-level internal decision-making and clear external communication.
- Market Intelligence Tools & Platform Ownership: You will act as the architect and owner of our Kalmar Intelligence Platform, ensuring data integrity, easy accessibility, and high adoption rates across our global business units.
- AI-Driven Method Development & Automation: You will drive innovation by integrating predictive analytics and LLM-powered tools to automate routine data scanning, allowing the team to focus on high-value synthesis and "so-what" analysis of complex data.
- Ambiguous Data Synthesis & Trend Analysis: You will derive intelligence from varied and often unstructured data sources, including social media and financial platforms, to identify emerging trends and competitive threats before they become mainstream.
- Knowledge Democratization & Cross-Functional Sharing: You will foster an intelligence-sharing culture by maintaining a central repository of knowledge, breaking down internal silos to ensure that colleagues worldwide have independent access to the data they need for fact-based decisions.
What we offer you:
- Rewards that truly count: Enjoy meaningful rewards that support your everyday life and well-being, including a company mobile phone, a flexible Edenred benefit for lunch, commuting, or wellness services, and comprehensive healthcare through Mehiläinen, enhanced by our health insurance fund for additional coverage and peace of mind.
- Safety that moves us forward: Build your career with a company rooted in safety since the 1940s, ensuring stability and an environment that empowers you to speak and be heard.
- Work-life balance: We prioritise work-life balance, providing flexible working hours and a hybrid work model tailored to meet both your needs and those of your team.
- Purpose that drives change: You'll contribute to solutions that transform global trade, creating environmental and operational innovations. You'll be in the driver's seat of ideas, developing digital technologies that set industry standards and position us as the forerunner.
- People who move together: You'll collaborate with people who build lasting relationships through global expertise, connections, and a commitment to sustainability.
Become part of our global network of 5,200 professionals across 120+ countries, where your work drives innovation, sustainability, and meaningful impact around the world.
What you bring to the role:
- Strong Academic Foundation: You hold an MSc in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or a related field that gives you the tools to handle complex problems.
- A Strategic Background: You have 5+ years of experience working in corporate strategy, business development, or market intelligence. You understand how a global business breathes.
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: You will use your ability to think clearly and solve tough business problems by finding the most important facts within large amounts of data.
- Structured & Fact-Based Approach: You will ensure all insights are backed by evidence, maintaining a highly organized and reliable way of working.
- Technical Tool Proficiency: You will work fluently with tools like QlikSense, Salesforce, and LSEG Workspace (or similar platforms) to manage and visualize our market data.
- Presentation & Interpersonal Skills: You will use your communication strengths to explain market trends clearly and build strong relationships with stakeholders across the company.
- Professional English Communication: You will use your fluency in written and spoken English to create reports and lead discussions in our global business environment.
