What you’ll do:
This role leads the Supplier Quality Function, developing quality strategies and objectives to improve supplier quality. Participates in the creation of supplier quality strategy with global procurement. The role ensures suppliers meet customer expectations, addresses supplier issues promptly, sets objectives to improve supplier performance in line with company policies, develops the Supplier Quality team, and is accountable for key quality performance results. Maintain link to the divisional level (Electrical Sector EMEA) and to the Corporate support functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for coordinating Supplier Quality Management (mainly 3-Phase UPS in Vantaa, Finland)
- Develops and maintains supplier relationships to ensure supplier quality, on-time delivery and service level
- Creates quality audit plan and leads global supplier quality audits. Leads supplier audit plan
- NPI & Sustaining Engineering projects' Supplier Quality
- Main lead (WPA) in NPI (ProLaunch APQP), VAVE (cost-out) and supplier second source projects as a supplier quality lead.
- Contributes with Procurement/Category Mgmt in supplier business reviews and supports in supplier Master Purchase Agreement (MPA)/Award Letter negotiations.
- Coordinates PPAP and APQP tools and implementation. Train and coach suppliers using the Eaton / supplier quality core tools (PPAP, SEM, FMEA, etc.)
- Manages and develops SQM processes and tools.
- During product development, coordinates with Purchasing for Critical Supplier Qualification and develops preventive quality tools.
- Gathers supplier benchmarks and comparative data to identify potential improvements and correct gaps in our processes.
- Defines and monitors supplier quality performance KPIs (DMR-defective material report, Supplier Dppm-defective parts per million, CONC-cost of non-conformity) and is responsible for monthly internal and corporate supplier quality reports.
- Lead major Supplier Quality Problems resolution (8D, E-ZDP)
- Measures and manages suppliers’ quality performance and improvements by ensuring regular reviews with all key CS/BUs, sites/plants’ supportive functions, and Critical Suppliers.
- After product launch till the end of product life, ensures critical suppliers/components are kept under strict surveillance & control.
- Creates quality audit plan and leads global supplier quality audits.
- Contribute to tools & processes development.
- Leads and monitors supplier development projects.
- Ensures Quality Management System relevant with Supplier Quality is in full adherence with EQMS & ISO required referential, CS/BUs Key Process Management, and OpA criteria subcategory Quality & requirements.
- Supports CS/BUs on their required 3rd party, internal, and customer audits & assessments to detect gaps, address them through corrective and preventive actions addressing mid & long term Management System improvements.
- Drives standard in Supplier Quality Functions and reporting with CS/BUs to ensure full alignment within CS and also with GPL when relevant.
- Drives & develops Functional Supplier quality team and talents, to plan resources & competences on long term to influence and adapt to the CS/BU Quality Org.
Qualifications:
- B.Sc or equivalent knowledge, auditor certification
- 3-5 years in supplier quality
