Introduction We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced security professional to join our team as Manager, IT Operations Security. In this role, you will play a key part in safeguarding the security posture of our CIO Office and IT Operations, ensuring that our services remain resilient, compliant, and aligned with Metso's global security standards. You will work closely with internal teams, vendors, partners, and other stakeholders to enhance our overall security maturity. Security is at the core of all our development activities, and in this position you will own and drive security best practices across CIO Office and IT Operations. We value hands‑on experience and a proactive mindset-someone who can translate security principles into practical actions, and who can design, plan, and oversee comprehensive security across our operational environment. This position is primarily located in Espoo or Tampere, with flexible working arrangements and hybrid work options available. What you'll do These include, but are not limited to:
- Design, plan, and oversee the comprehensive security posture for the CIO Office and IT Operations. The CIO Office consists of IT Finance, SIAM, change management and communications; IT Operations includes IT infrastructure, regional IT, and end user engagement.
- Ensure that CIO Office and IT Operations security practices follow Metso's security directives and policies.
- Provide technical expertise on security architecture, solutions, and controls for CIO Office and IT Operations teams.
- Lead and support the continuous development of security processes and risk management practices.
- Collaborate with CIO Office and IT Operations teams to enhance business continuity plans by integrating robust security practices.
- Increase security awareness across the organization by supporting teams in knowledge‑building and training.
- Evaluate and manage relationships with security vendors, ensuring alignment with organizational security goals and compliance requirements.
- Drive security development and roadmap planning for CIO Office and IT Operations.
- Act as the primary link between CIO Office / IT Operations and the Metso IT Security team.
- Manage and maintain the security governance model for CIO Office and IT Operations, including reporting to the VP and CISO.
Who you are Proven experience in information security across IT operations, covering end‑user services, cloud and infrastructure security, network security, and security risk management.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence, guide, and motivate cross‑functional teams within CIO Office and IT Operations to adopt and implement security best practices.
- 5-8 years of experience in diverse security roles in complex, distributed IT environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain security topics clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of infrastructure and cloud security risks relevant to modern IT operations, and a proven ability to manage and mitigate them effectively.
- Familiarity with ITIL and Agile ways of working (Scrum, Kanban) is considered an advantage.
- Relevant security certifications (e.g., AZ‑500, SC‑100/200/300, CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+) are seen as a plus.
