Your role
As a Sales Controller, you work at the heart of commercial decision-making acrossBusiness UnitNorthern Europe, acting as a trusted financial partner to the business. You support sales and business leaders with insights that improve profitability, transparency, and future readiness.
This is not a traditional reporting role.You are expected to challenge the status quo and influence how decisions are made.You bring a transformation mindset, continuously improving sales controlling practices by simplifying processes, introducing smarter analytics and automation, and enabling more agile, insight-driven decision-making.
The Sales Controllerreports to the Head of Controlling, BU Northern Europe, Packaging Solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Act as a strategic financial partner to sales leadership and business unit management
- Interact confidently with senior management, providing clear recommendations and financial perspectives to support decision-making
- Support commercial discussions, negotiations, and selected customer or partner interactions with financial insight and analysis
- Drive sales forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis together with the business
- Analyzesales performance, profitability drivers, pricing, volume, and mix
- Provide forward-looking insights on risks, opportunities, and overallbusiness performance
- Develop, simplify, and continuously improve sales controlling processes, reporting, and analytical models
- Identify opportunities to automate and streamline manual reporting and analysis
- Apply advanced analytics (e.g. predictive forecasting, pricing optimization) and AI-supported tools to enhance decision-making
- Work with cost and commercial data across multiple ERP and CRM environments, building an understanding of their logic to support profitability analysis in a multi-country setup
- Translate complex financial data into clear, concise, and impactful messages tailored to different audiences
What you bring
- Several years of experience in sales controlling, business controlling, or a similar commercial finance role
- Strong business acumen and deep understanding of sales performance drivers and profitability
- Proven ability to interact confidently with senior management and influence decision-making
- Experience in supporting commercial activities, such as pricing decisions, customer profitability analysis, and/or negotiations
- Strong capability in forecasting, scenario modelling, and forward-looking analysis
- Ability and curiosity toleverageanalytics, automation, and AI tools to work smarter and drive better commercial outcomes
- Advanced experience with BI tools (e.g.Power BI), Excel, and complex data handling in a business context
- Ability to understand and work with cost and commercial data across complex ERP and CRM environments, and to apply this understanding in a multi-country sales controlling setup
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor financial messages to senior leaders and non-financial stakeholders
- Proactive, structured, and independent way of working in a complex, international environment
- Fluency in English (other languages are considered an asset)
