The Physical layer simulator platforms team is responsible for developing and owning multiple state of the art 6G Layer 1 simulator platforms to enable link level evaluations for classical and AI radio use cases, RF impairment and Co-existence studies.
You will closely work with the Simulator development and research community as well as Digital & AI team to develop state of the art platform solutions across multiple sites to cater to several hundreds of users. With your expertise in Kubernetes/Docker, Openstack, Git, CI/CD pipelines, python, scripting, you will help R&I deliver highly stable, AI-enabled platform frameworks for multiple R&I physical layer simulators. You will also be instrumental in driving AI enabled physical layer simulator workflows. This is a unique opportunity to shape a new role and contribute to a dynamic, cross-functional team.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

You will design, implement and maintain robust, highly reliable, scalable, efficient platform solutions to support World class R&I Radio simulators used for 3GPP 6G standardization and

Incorporate state-of-the-art tools and technologies using AI workflows/tools to enhance operational efficiency on a continual basis

You will collaborate with multiple simulator development teams, research team, TS DAI team, Enterprise computing team, Vendor teams to understand the requirements and develop the needed solutions, document and disseminate to the user community.

Monitor performance and draw insights from the operational data to drive strategic decision making in collaboration with the wider team.
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

5+ years of professional hands-on experience with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Wireless communication, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field

Advanced proficiency in MATLAB development.

Experience in Python, C++ and methodologies related to them.

Demonstrated experience with DevOps methodologies and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.

Extensive experience in Continuous Integration (CI) testing, specifically utilizing Jenkins and GitLab CI platforms.

Proven ability to specify, design, and implement comprehensive test strategies.

Operational proficiency with existing Kubernetes clusters.

Expertise in the administration, operation, and installation of Linux-based systems.

In-depth expertise in Docker containerization technology.

A proactive mindset for continuous improvement of software quality, test coverage and team work.

Confidence in using Git and Jira in agile software development workflow.

Demonstrated capability to lead and mentor technical teams.

Experience in managing complex AI-driven coding workflows, including the utilization of AI agents.
