We are looking for you – Proposal Engineer
At Clevry, we are now looking for a Proposal Engineer for our client in Espoo, Finland. This is a full-time position with employment through Clevry. The preferred start date is 10 August 2026, or as agreed.
The position follows a hybrid working model. While remote work is possible, the primary workplace is in Espoo, and occasional on-site presence is expected.
As a Proposal Engineer, you will become part of our client’s Proposal Management team. In this role, you will coordinate and manage proposal processes for hydrometallurgical equipment and plant solutions together with sales, product managers, engineering, sourcing, and other internal stakeholders around the world.
The role is suitable for a junior to mid-level professional who enjoys working in an international environment, has strong organizational skills, and wants to combine technical understanding with project coordination and commercial thinking.
In this role, you will:
- Manage and coordinate proposal preparation activities using established processes and tools
- Support cost estimation and pricing activities
- Define proposal scope, schedule, and value proposition together with sales and project stakeholders
- Ensure proposals are delivered on time and with high quality
- Coordinate several proposal projects simultaneously
- Review customer RFQs and manage clarifications during the proposal phase
- Support the sales organization in customer presentations and negotiations
- Support in project handovers to the delivery organization
- Contribute to the continuous development of proposal processes, templates, and CPQ tools
You will work closely with colleagues in Finland and internationally. Your role is to keep proposal work progressing smoothly, coordinate stakeholders, and ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.
What we expect
- A relevant higher education degree, such as a Master of Science in Engineering, technical degree, business degree, or similar
- Some experience in proposal management, project coordination, cost estimation, pricing, or similar commercial-technical tasks
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects at the same time
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
- Fluent written and spoken English
- A proactive and structured way of working
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with different stakeholders
- Ability to take ownership and drive tasks forward
- Good attention to detail while keeping the overall project schedule under control
- A combination of technical understanding and business mindset
The following are considered an advantage:
- Basic understanding of hydrometallurgical processes (such as leaching, precipitation, solvent extraction, or tankhouse operations)
- Knowledge of equipment used in hydrometallurgical plants
- Experience with product pricing, customer RFQs, or customized technical solutions
- Experience with CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) systems
- Experience working in a global industrial technology company
