The FPRA Digitalization team is seeking Data Engineer Trainee to drive data engineering and data modeling initiatives within our digital transformation efforts. The ideal candidate will be leveraging Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, and the Azure data platform to design, implement, and optimize scalable data models and data solutions that enable advanced analytics and high‑quality financial and operational insights. This position requires excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for data driven innovation, and a forward-looking mindset including the ability to leverage AI tools and large language models (LLMs) to accelerate development and solve engineering challenges more effectively.

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
- You will contribute to developing and maintaining robust data pipelines and workflows using Databricks, Microsoft Fabric Data Factory, and related Fabric services.
- You will build and operate data solutions on top of OneLake and Azure Data Lake, ensuring efficient ingestion, transformation, and storage for analytical workloads.
- You will be using Python and SQL, with a focus on data ingestion and transformation, actively leveraging LLM-based coding assistants to improve development speed and code quality.
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Current BSc or MSc studies in a relevant areas, such as mathematics, statistics or computer science etc.
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- Some experience in Python and SQL.
- Experience with Big Data processing technologies such as Spark, DevOps practices, and cloud-based data platforms including Azure Data Lake Storage and OneLake is considered an advantage
