We are looking for a Senior Firmware Test Engineer to strengthen firmware quality and test automation for our UPS products. In this role, you will play a key part in the FW test automation project, developing and leading automated test solutions across the embedded firmware lifecycle in close collaboration with global engineering teams. Your responsibilities will be:\
- Design, develop, and maintain automated firmware tests for UPS and CPS product lines.
- Own firmware test planning, including creation and execution of structured test plans for product features.
- Define and implement test strategies to verify system, power, and product requirements.
- Lead firmware testing activities and contribute to functional and design reviews throughout the development lifecycle.
- Integrate firmware tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and early defect detection.
- Analyze test results, investigate failures, and drive root cause analysis together with firmware and system engineers.
- Document test solutions, results, and releases in accordance with company quality and compliance processes.
- Act as a technical test expert within the project team, supporting task prioritization and technical decision‑making.
- Continuously improve testing practices by applying modern embedded software testing tools and methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 8+ years of relevant industry experience
- OR Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant industry experience
Skills:
- Strong experience in firmware test design and test infrastructure development for complex embedded systems.
- Hands‑on experience developing automated test solutions using frameworks such as Robot Framework and Python.
- Experience with test‑driven development or similar quality‑focused development approaches.
- Solid knowledge of version control systems (Git).
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong debugging and problem‑solving skills for embedded and system‑level issues.
- Experience with embedded software development or testing using C/C++ and Python.
- Practical experience using laboratory equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes, multimeters).
- Ability to work safely in a high‑voltage laboratory environment.
- Experience working in Agile development environments (e.g. Scrum).
- Self‑driven, detail‑oriented team player with strong ownership and communication skills.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
