Valmet's PEC Business Area is looking for a Field Service Development Engineer. In this role you will be leading strategic development projects and support our global services business in establishing and developing global process governance to secure high customer satisfaction and strategic business growth. We are looking for an experienced process developer who can support our process owners with development projects and create visibility to process performance through data analytics and reporting. Our services business models include field services and agreements. The role will require active collaboration and networking in our organization across teams.
Your preferred location would be Tampere, Finland. However we are accepting application from other areas in Sweden (Gothenburg, Karlstad, Sundsvall), USA (Charlotte, North Carolina) and Canada (Montréal).
Your main responsibilities
- Drive development projects including business processes and IT tools and systems.
- Develop process performance reports and data analytics to support decision making.
- Support services process owners to secure process compliance with key KPIs incl quality and HSE requirements.
- Support in developing training concepts and execute internal trainings.
- Support in process continuous improvement process together with process owners.
Who is the candidate we are looking for
- B.Sc or M.Sc. degree in e.g. engineering.
- Information systems or business administration experience is seen as an advantage.
- 3 + years of working experience from business process development roles.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Knowledge of process development skills, e.g. VSM, operational excellence.
- Data analytics & reporting skills, e.g. data warehouse setups, Power BI.
- Experience from digitalization and AI developments and IT tool developments seen as an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills.
To succeed in the role, you will need good facilitation skills, ability to influence and motivate teams, explaining complex things in a simple way. It will be important to have analytical skills to understand the end-to-end process and connection between data setup and reporting outcome and how to improve data quality and process performance.
