We're looking for a DevOps Engineer to join us.
I'm Jorge Santos, Head of Broadband Data Mediation, and I'm searching for someone ready to grow with us. We're a supportive, forward-thinking team focused on delivering end-to-end Performance Management (PM) and data mediation for fixed networks using OpenText NNMi/NOM and OPTIC Data Lake-turning raw network metrics into reliable KPIs and insights for our stakeholders.
What you'll do:
Data is key for the future success of Telia Company and thus the department of Data Mediation Broadband is growing: The team needs a DevOps Engineer to lead the way on creating DevOps excellence for our performance and data mediation platform.
You will own and ensure stable, scalable, and automated operation of the Broadband Data Mediation platform, with strong focus on data pipelines and underlying infrastructure.
- Operate and evolve data mediation platforms supporting fixed network performance management (PM)
- Build and maintain CI/CD, infrastructure-as-code, and observability for Vertica-centric solutions
- Ensure reliability, data freshness, and controlled deployments across environments
- Support onboarding of new data sources and scaling of ingestion pipelines
Key skills to screen for:
- Strong DevOps background (CI/CD, automation, monitoring, Linux)
- Experience operating data platforms or OSS-like systems (not just app DevOps)
- Exposure to OPTIC/Vertica Data Lake or comparable large-scale data platforms (Hadoop-based, columnar DBs)
- Comfortable working close to engineers, architects, and operations (L2/L3 boundary)
Nice to have:
- Telecom / OSS context (PM, FM, mediation, network data)
- Kubernetes, Kafka, or event-driven data flows
- Experience working with time-series or high-volume telemetry data
- Experience with SQL performance tuning and large scale data processing
