The Impact You'll Make
We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our dedicated Service team. In this role, you will support customers across diverse industries by delivering high-quality field services for the full portfolio of Danfoss Drives products and solutions.
You will play a key role in commissioning, maintaining, and optimizing our drive systems, helping customers ensure reliable, efficient, and safe operation of their applications. This position combines hands-on technical work with strong customer interaction, making it ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and is passionate about problem-solving.
What You'll Be Doing
Installation & Commissioning
- Oversee installation and commissioning of new drive systems.
- Ensure proper configuration and performance aligned with specifications and customer expectations.
Troubleshooting & Repair
- Diagnose and resolve complex issues across hardware, software, and application interfaces.
- Support customers in restoring operational continuity with minimal downtime.
Preventive Maintenance
- Conduct routine maintenance activities to prevent failures and enhance drive system longevity and performance.
Customer Support & Training
- Deliver technical guidance and training to customers on drive operation and maintenance.
- Support colleagues and service partner teams with expert knowledge.
Documentation
- Prepare accurate service reports, technical documentation, and project records to ensure knowledge transparency and compliance.
On-site Project Management
- Manage service projects from planning to execution, including coordination, scheduling, and customer communication.
Upselling & Service Business Support
- Work closely with the sales organization to identify service opportunities and provide technical input during the sales process.
What We're Looking For
- Ability and willingness to travel and work in industrial and offshore environments
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant practical experience
- Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and/or PLCs
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to work independently
- Solid communication skills in English (written and verbal)
