What you'll do
Roles vary across different teams, offering opportunities to explore various aspects of mechanical engineering. Your tasks may include:

3D Modeling and Design: Create and update 3D models and assemblies using CATIA V6 or other CAD tools. You'll work on real components for paper machines and finishing equipment.

Technical Drawings and Documentation: Prepare manufacturing and assembly drawings, update product models, and maintain design documentation to support project delivery.

Layout and Product Design: Assist in planning layouts for machines and systems, ensuring functionality and compliance with technical requirements.

Strength Calculations and FEM Analysis: Depending on your background, you may support structural calculations and simulations to verify component strength and performance.

Project Support: Collaborate with lead designers and project managers to coordinate design tasks, update instructions, and ensure smooth project execution.

Development Tasks: Contribute to product development projects, cost optimization initiatives, and design improvements that enhance competitiveness.
We offer these summer trainee positions in Jyväskylä, Tampere, Raisio, Pori, Ulvila, Rauma, Lappeenranta, Valkeakoski, and Vantaa.
What do we expect from you?
You are a Bachelor's or Master's student in Mechanical Engineering or a related field such as machine, automation, chemical or process engineering. We value studies in areas like machine design, strength calculations, technical mechanics, and product development. Knowledge of structural mechanics, material technology, and technical calculations, including FEM analysis and simulations, is considered an advantage.
Familiarity with CAD tools and mechanical design principles is beneficial. Backgrounds in automation technology, production economics, or even commercial and IT-related subjects can also be useful for certain roles. Most importantly, you are eager to learn, adaptable, and ready to take on versatile tasks in a global industrial environment.
