Manage complex logistics installations across Europe – from anywhere.
We at Barona Engineering are looking for a Project Manager on behalf of our client K.Hartwall to take charge of logistics installation and delivery projects across continental Europe. This is a permanent, full-time role, and the employment relationship will be formed directly with K.Hartwall. Ideally, you should start working no later than September 1st, 2025.
Responsibilities
K.Hartwall is a Nordic logistics solution specialist delivering intelligent and sustainable logistics equipment to global customers. In this role, you’ll lead the orchestration of multi-site installation projects for some of the world’s most demanding distribution environments — all without the need for frequent site presence.
The Role
As Project Manager, you’ll plan and coordinate installation projects across countries like Germany, France, Spain, and Italy. Projects include storage and transport solutions delivered to customer sites by K.Hartwall and installed by trusted European subcontractors.
Your key responsibilities:

Project planning, cost estimation, quality reporting and timeline management

Customer coordination and weekly status meetings

Aligning with logistics and manufacturing partners (Finland, Poland, Czech Republic)

Coordinating subcontractors and delivery windows

Managing post-installation tasks (e.g. removal of leftovers, reporting)
Each week, you’ll be responsible for 2–3 ongoing installations. Most installations take place during evenings or weekends, and your role is focused on planning and managing rather than on-site execution.
What We Expect

To succeed, you’ll need a strong understanding of logistics and installation projects. You should bring:

5+ years of relevant project experience

Background in mechanical engineering or similar

Understanding of subcontractor coordination and project delivery
-
Fluency in English; German is a major advantage
-
A precise, structured and self-driven working style
-
Readiness to manage a high volume of projects efficiently.
Your preferred location is at our office in Buchholz, 20 km south of Hamburg in Germany, but full remote work is possible, even from Finland.
