Anticipating needs, exercising sound judgement, and driving execution are central to success in this role.
Why This Role?
This role offers a unique opportunity to work directly with the Chief People Officer, supporting strategic People priorities, organisational transformation, talent and leadership initiatives, and the effective operation of a global People organisation. For an ambitious, high-energy self-starter, it provides an exceptional opportunity to broaden People experience while leading high-visibility initiatives with meaningful business impact.
Experience supporting a People function is strongly preferred, and candidates with prior People Assistant, People Coordinator, Talent Administration, or People Operations experience will be particularly well suited to this role.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
- Provide proactive, anticipatory executive support to the CPO, including complex calendar management, travel, meeting coordination, communications, and priority management - consistently anticipating needs and resolving issues before they reach the CPO.
- Act as a trusted liaison between the CPO and senior leaders, Executive Assistants, People Leadership Team members, the Group Leadership team (GLT), the Board members, and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate governance processes, prepare executive materials, own and track actions through to closure, and support leadership forums, town halls, and People leadership meetings, proactively following up so nothing slips.
- Leverage Microsoft 365 and AI tools, including Copilot, to improve productivity, simplify administration, and enhance executive effectiveness, actively seeking smarter, faster ways of working.
-
Act as force multiplier for the CPO by owning and delivering discrete projects and strategic initiatives end-to-end, including scoping, planning, stakeholder coordination, milestone tracking, and delivering against agreed timelines with minimal oversight.
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience supporting C-suite executives or similar in a complex global organisation, working autonomously and taking the initiative.
- Previous experience as a People Assistant, People Coordinator, People Administrator, or Executive Assistant supporting a People leader or similar is a plus.
- Understanding of People processes, talent management, employee data confidentiality, succession planning, performance management, and organisational change is a plus.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, project management, organisational, and planning skills.
- High levels of professionalism, discretion, emotional intelligence, and sound judgement.
- Strong Microsoft 365 skills and experience using digital and AI productivity tools.
- A proactive, high-energy self-starter who anticipates needs, identifies issues early, and acts decisively without waiting to be asked, bringing positive energy and momentum to the CPO’s office.
- Demonstrated ability to own projects and initiatives independently, from planning through to on-time delivery, with minimal supervision.
Key Performance Indicators
- The CPO's priorities, calendar, travel, meetings and follow-up actions are managed proactively, ensuring effective use of executive time and seamless day-to-day operations.

- Leadership materials, governance forums and executive communications are delivered on time, with a high degree of quality, accuracy and attention to detail.
- Continuous improvements in productivity, efficiency and ways of working through effective use of Microsoft 365, Copilot and other digital tools.
- Successful end-to-end delivery of assigned projects and strategic initiatives, meeting agreed objectives, timelines and quality expectations with minimal oversight.
