At ALTEN Finland, we are looking for Embedded Software Developers to strengthen our team in a long-term industrial software development project. This position is ideal for you if you enjoy hands-on embedded development, working close to hardware, and contributing to reliable, high-performance industrial systems in an international environment.
In this role, you will join a skilled expert team working on industrial drive solutions, participating in development that spans from new feature design to continuous system improvement and maintenance.
You will be involved in agile (SCRUM-based) development, taking part in all phases from planning to delivery, while owning your work end-to-end.
Main Responsibilities
- Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, demos, and daily syncs
- Design and develop embedded software using C++ (main focus) and Python when needed
- Implement unit and integration testing to ensure high-quality software
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub)
- Collaborate closely with team members in a multidisciplinary environment
- Continuously improve development practices, quality, and efficiency
What these tasks mean in practice
You will develop and maintain embedded software for industrial applications, working both independently and as part of a collaborative expert team. In this role, you will ensure software reliability in a technically demanding environment, contribute to both new development and long-term system evolution, and support integration and testing activities to guarantee system performance and quality.
