We are looking for
IT Architect - Online Pipeline Application
to work for our customer Metso. Metso offers sustainable technologies, end-to-end solutions and services for the aggregates, minerals processing and metals refining industries globally. It improves its customers' energy and water efficiency, increase their productivity, and reduce environmental risks with its product and service expertise.
Objective is to onboard an experienced IT Architect who can support the Online Pipeline application by translating business functional requirements into scalable and efficient architectural solutions. The focus will be on high-impact tasks such as new integrations (e.g., with My Metso), optimizing data flow architecture, and ensuring performance and reliability across Azure-based services.
We are looking for someone who has minimum 10+ years in .NET technologies with proven experience in application architecture and Azure Services.
The assignment will start as soon as possible. Work can be done remotely with capability to work according to EET 8-16 working time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand functional requirements and translate them into technical architecture.
- Design and review architecture for major features and integrations, especially involving Azure APIs and services.
- Propose improvements to data flow and system performance to avoid slowness and bottlenecks.
- Provide architectural guidance during development and deployment phases.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture standards and security practices.
- Support DevOps and CI/CD pipeline optimization.
Required skills & competencies:
Core Competencies:
- .NET Core (C#)
- Web APIs (RESTful services)
- Azure Services: Event Grid, Function Apps, Azure SQL Database, Azure Service Bus (recommended), Azure Logic Apps (recommended)
- Azure DevOps (pipelines, repos, boards)
- Azure Active Directory (user and role management)
- Application performance optimization and data flow design
- Integration architecture (especially with external systems like My Metso, CPQ)
Skills:
- Microservices architecture
- Domain-driven design (DDD)
- API Management and Gateway configuration
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using ARM/Bicep or Terraform
- Security best practices in Azure (RBAC, identity management)
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes on Azure)
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication and stakeholder management
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving
- Ability to work independently and guide development teams
- Documentation and presentation skills
This job can be done in an employment relationship with Nico or as a subcontractor for Nico, depending on your wishes.
