We are seeking a visionaryand results-driven Director, IT R&D and Engineering Process Domain to join our IT Process domain function.The IT Process Domain function is an important cornerstone of Valmet IT, designed to ensure our IT solutions are aligned withbusiness needs, architectural principles, and long-term value creation. Our function plays a key role in driving the digitalization of Valmet's processes by designing, implementing, and optimizing innovative and cost-efficient IT solutions that empower business growth and operational excellence.
In this role, you will providepurpose-driven direction and leadership to transform Valmet's R&D and Engineering IT landscape. By proactively partnering with business stakeholders, you will ensure IT is not just a support function-but a partner for innovation, efficiency, and competitive advantage.
Your Mission
As Director of the IT R&D and Engineering Domain, you will:

Drive the digitalizationwithstrong business-oriented mindsetby designing and delivering innovative IT solutions that enhance customer experience as well as acceleratingR&D and engineering performance.You ensure our solution development supports and secures the achievement of strategic business objectives. You lead strategic planning and execution for global application development, lifecycle management, and end-to-end data flows within the domain.

Provide strategic leadership for your domain by shaping long-term roadmaps, influencing enterprise architecture, and aligning IT initiatives with Valmet's business strategy. You oversee domain-specific roadmaps, budgets, and solution architecture to ensure scalability, security, performance, and cost efficiency. Guide business areas in adopting standardized, cost-effective solutions that support global operations and maximize value creation across the organization.

Champion cross-functional collaboration, working closely with IT Business Partners, business stakeholders and different IT colleagues across the Valmet IT to ensure seamless integration across process domains, infrastructure, data architecture and business targets.
