To take this agenda forward, we are looking to strengthen our M&A and Strategy team in our Flow Control Business Area.
Valmet Flow Control is one of five strategic business areas at Valmet, consisting of some 2,800 employees globally, with a turnover of some EUR 800million. We at Valmet Flow Control Drive growth and strengthen our position as a leading provider of mission-critical valves and automation, reinventing reliability in flow control.
In this role you will participate in and support the creation of Valmet Flow Control's M&A ambition and strategy, together with our business units. You have a key role during the full lifecycle of M&A, leading strategic evaluation, transaction process execution and post-merger integration activities together Group M&A team and experts from a related business unit of Valmet Flow Control.
You will also be in a central role in relation to Valmet Flow Control's strategy. You will be involved in selected strategic projects, both at the business area level and to support our business units' and functions' value creation.
In this role, your main tasks will consist of:

Support in creation of a group level and Business Area M&A ambition, including M&A strategies and short-listing of targets

Lead M&A projects, organizations and processes in various phases, both pre-closing and post-closing and integration, involving several internal and external stakeholders, together with Group M&A team and experts from a related business unit of Valmet Flow Control

Conduct analysis, insights building and facilitation of decision-making in terms of M&A projects' rationales, strategic fit, valuation, due diligence findings and integration hypotheses, with ownership of case-specific M&A substance within the team

Participate in various business development projects in PMO and/or stream lead roles
You are a highly analytical with experience in strategic analysis, market evaluation, financial analysis, and business case development. In addition, you are a confident communicator with the ability to influence at multiple levels, from engineers to senior executives. You are not afraid to take the initiative and to work proactively and independently towards stellar results.
What you will bring to the role:

3-5 years of experience in a top-tier strategy consulting firm (e.g., McKinsey, BCG, Bain) or M&A investment banking

Master's degree in engineering or economics and business administration from a top-tier university

Proven track record working on growth strategic projects (both organic and M&A) in manufacturing industrial sectors

Excellent project management skills
