We are now looking for a Solution Manager to join the Performance Solutions business group!

We are now looking for a Solution Manager to join the Performance Solutions business group in Valmet Automation's Energy and Process Systems (EPS) Business Unit. In this role, you will contribute to global growth in the chemical and biorefining segments of the process industries. You will manage an advanced automation solution portfolio and develop the offering to meet the needs of these segments and their business requirements. The portfolio includes, but is not limited to, advanced process control, control performance, information platforms, and industrial internet-related solutions.
You will also be the responsible Solution Manager for Valmet Simulator and Digital Twin solutions across all EPS industry segments: Energy, Process, and Marine. Additionally, you will act as an AI Ambassador, with a dedicated focus on driving AI development within the EPS BU.
You will support sales in winning orders by providing professional sales support, driving differentiation and value, and setting performance guarantees for delivery. You will take care of commercial product management by maintaining accurate pricing and developing sales materials and offering related information. You will work closely with R&D and the product organization to develop business plans and specify customer requirements for new and existing product development. You will collect feedback from project deliveries and ensure close cooperation with the delivery organization. This is a global role, meaning you will support all geographical areas.

To succeed in this role

Suitable educational background (e.g. M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Engineering)

Experience in chemical and refining processes

Knowledge of advanced process controls, optimization, and dynamic simulation

Distributed Control System (DCS) knowledge, preferably experience with Valmet DNA

Capability to conduct process performance audits and summarize improvement potential into actionable solutions

Ability to understand and apply AI technologies to next-generation automation solutions

Knowledge of gas chromatography and its use in process control is a plus

Solution sales skills to support sales and demonstrate customer value

Good presentation skills in a multicultural environment

Willingness and ability to travel internationally

Effective written and oral communication skills in English
