We are looking for a skilled Patent Attorney to join our Cellular Standards Portfolio team at Nokia. In this role, you will manage the external drafting and global prosecution of patent applications related to 3GPP 6G technologies as well as draft and prosecute of Nokia’s standards essential patent applications in the field of 3GPP technologies together with seasoned external and /or internal patent attorneys globally for the purpose of licensing and litigation. You will be in the forefront of protecting inventions contributed to 6G standard development with IP and collaborating with top researchers in the telecom industry. With your expertise in patent law and patent practice, you will contribute to building a world-leading, monetizable, patent portfolio in cellular standards area . This is a unique opportunity to join the Nokia team of patent professionals with a strong track record of creating high-quality patent assets used successfully in licensing and litigations globally.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

Manage the external drafting and prosecution, as well as the foreign filing processes of Cellular Standards Physical Layer patenting team

Drafting patent applications with external patent attorneys

Prosecute globally the patent applications inhouse and with external patent attorneys

Reviewing claim charts and collaborating with others to ascertain the claim scope and mapping to standards

Collaborating closely with the inventor community
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Strong motivation and capability to develop an in-depth understanding of the 6G Physical Layer as it is developed.
