Are you passionate about observability, large-scale infrastructure, and working in a collaborative, forward-thinking tech environment? If your answer is yes, we might have a new opportunity for you!
My name is Marcus Lydholm, and I lead the DM&C IT Observability unit within Telia's Tech IT PC Data Mediation and Cybersecurity division. We're a dedicated team of experts building and maintaining Telia's internal observability platforms - tools that empower our DevOps and maintenance teams to develop and operate services with confidence and clarity.
We are now looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join us - someone eager to grow, learn, and contribute to the future of observability at Telia. If you thrive in agile teams and enjoy working with cutting-edge technologies, we'd love to hear from you.
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you'll…
Be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining internal observability platforms like Grafana Dashboard as a Service (DaaS) and Observability as a Service (OaaS). You'll integrate and manage tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Mimir, Tempo, and OpenTelemetry, while operating and optimizing applications on Rancher-managed Kubernetes clusters and virtual machines. Your role includes automating service provisioning with Ansible and ArgoCD, supporting DevOps operations across multiple Nordic and Baltic countries, and maintaining a robust toolchain with GitHub and Keycloak. You'll monitor system performance, participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, and actively contribute to continuous improvement in a collaborative team environment.
Who we're looking for…
We're looking for someone who brings both technical excellence and a collaborative spirit. You should be naturally curious, open to learning, and eager to share your knowledge with others. A proactive mindset and strong sense of ownership are key - you take initiative, follow through on commitments, and elevate the quality of every project you touch. Precision matters here, so attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions are essential. Most importantly, you value teamwork and contribute positively to a culture of trust, growth, and shared success.
From a technical perspective, you should have deep experience with Kubernetes, including managing full cluster lifecycles and orchestrating containerized workloads. You've worked hands-on with observability stacks like Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki, and understand how to monitor performance, analyze logs, and trace distributed systems. You're skilled in CI/CD practices using tools like ArgoCD and GitHub Actions, and familiar with Infrastructure as Code using Pulumi or Terraform. A solid programming foundation is required - Rust experience is a bonus - and you should be comfortable navigating Linux environments and troubleshooting system-level issues. Familiarity with OpenTelemetry is a plus, and fluency in English is essential for clear communication in our cross-functional, international teams.
We are more than a workplace
Join our inclusive team and collaborate with over 15,000 talented colleagues from around the globe. Recognized as a Climate Leader in the Nordics and Baltics, we're passionate about creating great products and delivering extraordinary customer experiences while always prioritizing sustainability. We believe our people are our most valuable asset, ensuring everyone feels welcome and valued. When you join us, you'll receive a comprehensive benefits package tailored to your local market, opportunities for remote work, and more. You'll also have the chance to earn a bonus based on your performance and Telia's results. If you want to make a real impact, this is the place where you belong.
(For applicants in Lithuania, monthly salary range for this position: 4200 - 6400 EUR before tax deduction.)
