We are now looking for a dynamic Sales Manager, Marine to strengthen our global market position and drive future growth. You will be responsible for managing existing accounts, developing new business opportunities, and supporting our network of partners, shipping companies and shipyards around the world.
You will report to the Director of Marine Business Unit. The position is based in Kerava, Finland, with the option of other European Metos offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies for your sales areas in line with business goals
- Manage and develop relationships with shipowners, shipyards, distributors, agents, and other stakeholders
- Prepare, coordinate, and manage commercial offers and contracts
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, logistics, and after-sales to ensure excellent customer satisfaction
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify and develop new business opportunities
- Represent Metos Marine at international trade fairs and customer events
What will you focus on during the first 12 months?
During your first 6 months, you will focus on mastering the role, taking ownership of your area, and securing the current market position. By 12 months, you are expected to have identified new business opportunities, gained in-depth product knowledge, and started developing the strategy for your sales area.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in international B2B sales, preferably in the marine sector
- Strong commercial mindset with technical understanding - experience with equipment sales is a plus
- Ability to work independently and deliver results in a global environment
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Willingness to travel internationally (up to 30 days per year)
- Fluency in English; other languages are an advantage
