About the role
Your main responsibility is to support your team in daily cash management operations. This includes processing payments, daily controls and reconciliations, AR for non-insurance invoicing, liquidity forecasting, supporting business in payment issues and managing bank accounts.
Cash Management plays a crucial role in supporting If's business, both daily and in initiatives and projects by ensuring well-functioning and secure invoicing and payment processes that contribute to satisfied customers. You will be working closely with your team developing, integrating and managing the best Nordic processes in the finance organization.
Key responsibilities in leading Cash Management include Identifying and mitigating risks and ensuring compliance with internal policies and guidelines as well as to ensure business continuity in the cash management area.
Cash Management is responsible for bank administration and agreements with banks and to follow up on bank expenses. In this role, you'll have the opportunity to develop your professional skills and gain in-depth knowledge of cash management in the Nordics, while working with our banking partners.
About the team
Cash management is a centralized corporate function that serves all If's countries and Business Areas with expertise and solutions for payments and digital invoicing. You will be heading a team of little more than 10 experts, a combination of seasoned and future specialists. The team is mainly situated in Turku with 2 team members in the Espoo office.
As Head of Cash Management, you will report to Head of Nordic Cash Management and work closely with the Payments manager in Denmark as well as our business developers and product owner in Sweden.

Who are you?
To succeed in this position, you have worked in an international organization, and you are a senior manager with at least 8-10 years of experience as leader. You love numbers and accuracy and have a structured, analytical and curious mindset. You need to be prepared to grasp the strategic level as well as dig into details.
As the team is a mix of seasoned professionals and emerging talents you must have genuine interest and passion for engaging and developing the team for the future and you need to be experienced as leader. Over the next 2-3 years, several major initiatives in If will impact Cash Management, so you need to be comfortable with leading change. The position requires close collaboration with Nordic as well as Baltics colleagues and Nordic bank contacts, therefore very good communication skills in English are required.

Higher academic/university degree business, finance, accounting or similar

8-10 years of experience in a manager role

Experience of working in an international organization

Experience in financial administration (cash management, payment area or accounting) is an advantage

Structured and result-oriented way of working

Very good English skills (written and oral)
