We are now looking for a Senior Manager Strategy & Project Management Office (m/f/d) to drive the development and execution of UPM Communication Papers' strategy. The position will start as of October 2025 and will be preferably based in Helsinki, Finland or Augsburg, Germany. Other locations will be considered.

What you will do
- Drive the development and execution of UPM Communication Papers' strategy, including business model optimization and capability building, aiming for excellence across all areas of the business
- Lead high-impact strategic projects to enable resilient business performance and strengthen our position as the partner of choice for customers
- Partner with key stakeholders across Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, and MSC (Marketing, Sustainability, Communication) to deliver future-ready capabilities, challenge the status quo and deliver bottom-line impact in a global environment
- Oversee the Project Management Office (PMO), ensuring cross-functional strategic initiatives are well-governed, aligned with business priorities, and delivered on time and within scope. Provide regular updates to Business Area leadership on strategic initiatives and project status
Who you are
- You hold a Master's, PhD, or MBA in Business, Engineering, Sciences, or Economics
- You have a solid understanding of digital processes and solutions, and how they can drive business transformation
- You have a strong strategic mindset, with proven ability to develop and implement business strategies in complex environments
- You combine analytical rigor with conceptual thinking, enabling you to translate insights into actionable initiatives that drive tangible value
- You bring a commercial orientation and operational discipline, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
- You're a confident communicator and skilled stakeholder manager, able to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence at all levels
- You communicate fluently in English; additional languages are an asset
- Experience in strategy consulting is a plus
- Exposure to the process industry and experience across diverse roles, companies, and geographies is preferred
