At Nokia Technologies, we are looking for a senior licensing execute to lead the Licensing Excellence team. In this role, you will help Nokia to successfully monetize its valuable patents. You will be leading a team of licensing, contract management and royalty management professionals contributing to the execution of Nokia Technologies strategy and in licensing of Nokia’s valuable portfolio of technologies globally. In this role, you will develop best practices and strategies that secure value creation, contribute to strategic decision-making by senior leadership and and enhance Nokia Technologies’ operations. The Licensing Excellence team is responsible for driving best practices and execution in the patent licensing operations of Nokia Technologies. The team is responsible for contract management, royalty management and governance of the patent licensing operations. In this role you will lead the team and be actively involved in the negotiations and execution of complex patent licensing and other intellectual property related transactions. You will engage with a wide network of stakeholders, including Nokia Technologies leadership and other functions.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
In this role you will be responsible for
- Leading the Licensing Excellence, Contract Management and Royalty Management Teams
- Acting as a key contributor and strategic advisor to Nokia Technologies patent licensing programs
- Leading the governance and decision-making processes relating to patent licensing programs
- Providing direction and leadership to the overall patent licensing processes, in close cooperation with other teams and functions within Nokia Technologies.
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 15+ years of relevant professional experience
- Excellent legal knowledge in intellectual property law, patent licensing and/or litigation
- Strong team leader skills with a proven track record of leading global and virtual teams and effectively executing on strategy beyond own team of direct reports.
- Effective communications skills, including senior leadership engagement.
- Ability to navigate and organize work across different cross-functional stakeholders, ability to resolve complex legal questions and secure effective strategy execution.
- Master’s degree in law.
