We are seeking a candidate to co-lead our development team in diverse, cutting-edge research projects related to emerging technologies. This role is ideal for recent graduates eager to gain hands-on experience, and does not require extensive work history.
Key Responsibilities:

Web development: Primary work will be related to development with different web technologies for mobile and browser environment.

Game Engines: Secondary projects are implemented with Unreal Engine and Unity.

Project Diversity: Lead and contribute to projects spanning construction, education, healthcare, and creative sectors.

Task Management: Prioritize, estimate, and handle multiple tasks across several projects.

Team Leadership: Co-lead the development team, supporting project assistants and working closely with project managers and HXRC core team. Interact with clients and collaborators, presenting ideas and outcomes in English.

Participate in: Helsinki XR Center's activities, including organizing showroom visits, workshops, afterwork events, and larger exhibitions like MatchXR.

Web development: Solid skills in suitable web technologies, both back-end and front-end, like Three.js, React and Node.js

Tech Enthusiast: A passion for emerging technologies such as Extended Reality and Artificial Intelligence.

Game Engines and other tech: Understanding of either Unreal Engine, Unity, Machine Learning or Computer Vision.

Problem Solver: Self-starter, capable of learning new tools and solving technical challenges independently.

Leadership Experience: Experience managing projects, whether in academia, hobbies, or professionally, or interest in learning to lead a team.

Multitasking: Manage multiple projects with quick turnarounds (typically under 6 months) without the need for crunch time.

Strong Communication: Comfortable providing feedback to others and leading discussions.

The candidate may work in hybrid mode, but at least 50% presence at the office in Arabianranta, Helsinki, supporting younger talent, is expected.
Starting date for the role may be as early as July 2025. The position will be initially temporary, with possibility of extension.
