We are now looking for a Manager, Climate and Nature to join our global sustainability team in UPM Raflatac as we lead the transition to a low carbon circular economy. This is a one-year fixed-term position, preferably located in Helsinki or Tampere, Finland or Wrocław, Poland. Other UPM locations can be considered.

What you will do
- Develop the Climate & Nature programs and generate leading business performance and topic leadership in line with business strategy, relevant legislation and UPM Group targets
- Act as a climate and nature expert and contribute to the wider development of the sustainability approach
- Data management and reporting related to overall ESG performance and climate related topics such as scope 3 and carbon neutrality
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop the data, tools and processes needed to accelerate and scale our sustainability performance
- Act as a key partner to our Operations and Sourcing teams, including support in reporting, investment processes, and environmental and social auditing
- Build organizational capability and support innovation and development of climate and/or nature-related products, services and partnerships with customers, brands and other stakeholders
- Act as a thought leader in events, forums, associations, and the topic expert for leadership marketing and communications
Who you are
- You have a master's degree and 5+ years of work experience with a focus on sustainability, environmental science, climate, nature or other related fields
- You are passionate about sustainability, understand what leadership in climate and nature requires and can inspire others to deliver our short- and long-term ambitions
- You are competent in ESG data management and reporting, and have an analytical and innovative mindset that can help develop the tools and processes need to meet our targets
- You are familiar with sustainable product design and lifecycle analysis
- Knowledge of packaging and project management with multiple stakeholders is a plus
- You are business minded, proactive and have a results-orientated way of working
- You are comfortable working in a complex global matrix organization across multiple time zones
- You are fluent in spoken and written English, other languages are an asset
- Capability to travel is required
