You will manage chain of custody compliance and audit management for UPM Next Generation Renewables, ensuring products meet regulatory and certification requirements.
You will coordinate and manage internal and external audits, design and deliver chain of custody training, and act as the compliance partner for commercial and supply chain teams.
The role requires in-depth experience with certification schemes (e.g., ISCC, RSB), knowledge of EU Renewable Energy Directive rules, familiarity with custody IT tools, and strong communication and project management skills.
This fixed-term position is preferably based in Helsinki, Finland, runs until the end of 2027, and applications (CV and cover letter) must be submitted by 30.8.2026 through the online system.

What you will do

Ensureour productscomplywithapplicableregulatory and certification requirements

Coordinate and manage internalandexternal audits

Design anddeliverchain of custody-related training

Act as a partner and point of contact for ourcommercial andsupplychainteams,providing guidance on market requirements and compliance topics

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders tomaintainand improvechain ofcustody practices

Monitor relevant sustainability regulations and standards anddevelopaudit and certification practices accordingly

Participate in the process for ensuring regulatory market access in our key markets

Who you are

You have in-depth knowledge and experience of implementing chain of custody management in relation to certification schemes such as ISCC, RSB or other voluntary sustainability assurance systems for biofuels or biomaterials.Familiarity with forest certification standards such as FSC and PEFC is considered an asset but is notrequired

You haveexpertisein sustainability chain of custody practices, regulations, and standards

You have knowledge of the regulatory requirements of the EU Renewable Energy Directive and related rules, preferably both at the EU level and in key EU markets such as Germany, Italy, and the Netherlands

You have experience working in the fuel and energy sector

Youare abletounderstand and design business processes

Youhave an understanding ofITtoolsandsystems related to chain of custodyandtheability toanalyzeand interpret sustainability data

You bringstrongcommunicationand collaborationskills

You have project management and problem-solving skills, along withattention to detail
