Finance, Legal, Government and Geopolitical Relations leads communications strategy and execution across a portfolio of critical corporate functions that shape Nokia's business performance, governance, stakeholder engagement and long-term strategic positioning.
The role operates within Nokia's functional GMC model, reporting to the VP, Corporate Communication. The individual will serve as the senior communications partner to three members of Nokia's Group Leadership Team, supporting the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Legal Officer and Chief Government and Geopolitical Relations Officer. The role is responsible for developing and executing integrated communications strategies that advance the priorities of these functions while ensuring alignment with Nokia's corporate narrative, business strategy and reputation objectives.
Working across multiple executive stakeholders, the role orchestrates resources from internal communications, media relations, analyst relations, digital channels and agency partners to deliver high-impact communications programmes and executive engagement activities. Success requires exceptional stakeholder management, sound judgement and the ability to balance competing priorities across a diverse portfolio of strategic issues.
The role serves as a trusted adviser to senior executives, translating complex financial, legal, regulatory, technology and geopolitical developments into clear and compelling narratives for employees, customers, investors, policymakers, media and other stakeholders.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
Executive and Strategic Communications
• Serve as the primary communications adviser to the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Legal Officer and Chief Government and Geopolitical Relations Officer.
• Develop and own integrated communications strategies aligned with Nokia's business priorities, corporate narrative and reputation objectives.
• Translate complex business, financial, legal, regulatory, technology and geopolitical developments into compelling narratives for internal and external audiences.
• Develop executive content including internal posts, speeches, videos, presentations, leadership communications and strategic messaging materials.
• Prepare senior executives for high-profile engagements, including media interviews, analyst briefings, policy forums, industry events and internal leadership communications.
• Ensure consistency and alignment across executive narratives, reinforcing Nokia's strategy, values and long-term business ambitions.
Strategic Business and Stakeholder Communications
• Develop and execute integrated communications strategies that support key corporate functions and advance business priorities, reputation and strategic objectives.
• Support executive engagement with employees, customers, investors, policymakers, regulators and other key stakeholder groups.
• Partner closely with leadership teams to communicate strategic priorities, business performance, transformation initiatives, governance matters and policy positions.
• Develop communications approaches that strengthen stakeholder trust, reinforce the corporate narrative and support long-term business success.
• Support thought leadership, executive visibility and stakeholder engagement programmes across priority topics and markets.
• Monitor developments across business, regulatory and geopolitical environments, identifying communications opportunities and considerations that support executive engagement and informed decision-making.
Resource Orchestration and Ways of Working
• Operate within the functional GMC model, drawing on resources across media relations, internal communications, digital channels, analyst relations and agency partners.
• Set clear priorities, briefs and quality standards for communications activities across multiple functions and stakeholder groups.
• Build strong relationships across GMC and partner functions to ensure communications are coordinated, consistent and aligned with business objectives.
• Be willing to operate hands-on, writing, briefing, preparing and executing communications directly where required.
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Extensive senior communications experience within a global organisation.
• Proven ability to develop and execute integrated communications strategies spanning executive, internal and external communications.
• Strong executive communications and advisory skills, with experience supporting senior leaders in high-profile and strategically important roles.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex business, financial, legal, regulatory or policy issues into clear and compelling communications.
• Strong strategic thinking and sound judgement.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience managing complex stakeholder environments and navigating sensitive business topics.
• A confident and proactive approach to AI.
