What you will do
In this role, you will provide trade finance expertise across UPM, support operations with practical solutions and manage the administration of trade credit insurance programs. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to strengthen financial and credit risk management, compliance and performance across markets.
Your main tasks include:
- Provide trade finance guidance and hands-on support across businesses and functions, including senior management decision support
- Develop trade finance capabilities, processes, and ways of working in collaboration with businesses, Treasury, and external partners
- Ensure strong governance, compliance and operational guidelines across trade finance
- Ensure commercial terms align with risk and country exposure and trade credit insurance structures
- Manage trade credit insurance administration and broker coordination
- Contribute to end-to-end process development and working capital improvement initiatives
Who you are
- You have a master's degree in economics and business administration or similar education
- Minimum 5 years of experience in international trade finance operations
- You have knowledge and understanding of international guidelines, tools, techniques and instruments related to guarantees, export letters of credit concepts, instrument cost structures and overall cost of risk
- You have good understanding of different market, country and business specific requirements
- You have a good understanding of financial and credit analysis
- In-depth knowledge and experience on B2B trade and trade credit insurance
- You have strong collaboration, influencing and team working skills with flexible and positive attitude towards changing environment
- You have solution-oriented mindset, attention to detail and passion for driving continuous improvement initiatives
- You are fluent in English and have experience from international business environment and are used to working in a fast-paced environment
