We are looking for a General Manager, Supply Management, Exhaust Treatment with a main responsibility to develop our sourcing functions.
The preferred location for this position is in Moss, Norway or Vaasa, Finland.
Your role and responsibilities
As General Manager of Supply Management, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving our global sourcing strategy, ensuring that our supply chain supports both current business needs and future growth. You will lead, inspire, and develop a globally distributed team of 15 supply management professionals, fostering a high-performance culture built on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
In this role, you will be responsible for defining and executing strategic sourcing initiatives, strengthening supplier partnerships, and ensuring cost-effective, sustainable, and resilient supply chain operations. You will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders across the organization-including engineering, operations, and leadership-to align supply management strategies with overall business objectives.
A key part of your responsibility will be to build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with critical suppliers. You will drive supplier performance, lead complex negotiations, and ensure that our supplier base supports innovation, quality, and sustainability targets. Together with your colleagues and team members, you will have the opportunity to help shape the future of the industry.
Requirements for the position:
- Bachelor's degree (B.Sc.) in a relevant field
- 5-7 years of experience in supply management, sourcing, procurement, or related roles
- Demonstrated experience in strategic supply chain management; experience from the maritime industry is an advantage
- Proven track record of leading and developing teams in an international environment
- Strong supplier management and contract negotiation experience
- Experience managing global supplier networks and sourcing strategies
- Fluent written and spoken English
