We are looking for a (Senior) Development Engineer to contribute toour plant automation IT, cyber and SCADA systems, bridging operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) in the Engine Power Plants business unit. The preferred location for this position is Vaasa, Finland (Helsinki and Turku are negotiable), and we offer the possibility of hybrid remote work.
Your role and responsibilities
Plant automation & controls focuses on our power plant automation and controls products. We develop and maintain plant automation and control solutions for today's engine power plants, and tomorrow's technology stack to implement future remote and autonomous operation vision.

Programming and automation: Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash/Shell, or Python) for automation and tool development are appreciated. Basic understanding of PLC programming or configuration (IEC 61131-3 based languages) and control logic is required to facilitate SCADA-PLC integration.

Soft skills: Open-minded attitude, teamwork capability, and ability to work independently. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken, are required (other language skills are a plus). A collaborative mindset and willingness to continuously learn are essential.
