The role
As a Solution Architect in the Corporate area, you work closely with business, product, and engineering teams to shape end-to-end solutions where corporate data, integration, and cross-domain reuse are central.
A key focus is the Corporate Data Platform, where you help define how corporate domains publish and consume data, ensure alignment with architectural principles, and support initiatives requiring interoperability across domains.
The Corporate Data Platform is If's corporate instance of the global Data & ML Platform (DMP) and a core part of our data mesh strategy, enabling analytics, AI, and reusable data products across finance, HR, risk, and other corporate functions. It is a part of our modernization journey supporting other initiatives as ERP transformation, etc.
Your responsibilities
As a Solution Architect in Corporate, you will:

Support teams in structuring data as data products with clear scope, ownership, and documentation

Contribute to reusable integration and data patterns, reducing point-to-point integrations

Communicate architectural decisions, risks, and trade-offs clearly

Create and maintain architectural artefacts

Participate in and contribute to the broader architecture community, and collaborate closely with the Corporate architecture team

IT Corporate is a Nordic/Baltic IT unit with around 60 employees. To strengthen our support for ongoing business and technology transformation, we are now looking for a Solution Architect to help design and establish our Corporate Data Platform, built on Databricks, Azure Data Factory, and Azure services.
You will be part of the IT Corporate Architecture team, working closely with corporate units such as Accounting, Financial Reporting, Cash Management, Marketing, Legal, HR, and Risk. The Corporate Architecture unit is part of If's centralized IT Architecture organization.
We work closely with business and engineering teams on large, cross-cutting initiatives and are actively transforming the IT landscape of the Corporate area. Our mission is to build a modern and sustainable tech landscape that delivers stable, high-quality solutions and enables business transformation - particularly within the CFO area and financial reporting.
About you
You are a curious and collaborative team player who communicates clearly in English and can explain complex topics in a structured way. You enjoy working cross‑functionally, can connect architectural decisions to business needs, and have a strong interest in data‑oriented architecture, platforms, and integration. Also, you are comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands‑on involvement in a changing environment.
We believe that you

Are experienced within Microsoft technologies, including Databricks, and are familiar with public cloud platforms such as Azure or other.

Have experience of transitioning towards microservice-based architecture

Worked with standardized information models and reusable integration patterns

Have experience from data mesh strategy and implementing data products as a concept
We also consider it an advantage if you have experience from the insurance sector or banking, and have an understanding of financial processes and financial reporting.
