Senior/Lead Process Development Engineer
to our Renewables Processes team in Porvoo.
As a Senior Process Development Engineer, you will be in a key role in supporting the continuous improvement of our existing renewable products refineries in Finland, the Netherlands and Singapore. As a subject matter expert, you will be a leading contributor to our SAF production growth strategy and the development of Neste's pretreatment processes. In our team, you will also develop new process concepts in low carbon, or renewable technology through supporting or leading technology development and investment projects. Together with your expertise, we can do meaningful work to drive Neste forward.
The job is located in Kilpilahti, Porvoo, which is about 30 minutes by car from the center of Helsinki. We organize free bus transportation to Kilpilahti for our employees from the capital region, Porvoo and the nearby areas. It is possible to work partly remotely through our hybrid working practice.

Providing senior level subject matter (technical) expertise to production site development initiatives, projects and/or acting as a development project team leader

Being responsible for the early phase concept creation and maturing the process design through later stages of projects

Keys to success in this role

M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering
-
Minimum 5 years of relevant industry process engineering experience in the field of oil refining, petrochemical or chemicals

Strong hands on knowledge of renewable fuel processes and unit operations, or in relevant industry sectors.

Experience of process design activities (for example, material and heat balance calculations, equipment sizing)
-
Understanding on purification of renewable or circular feedstock and end product properties is a plus

Experience of digitalization and use of AI

Fluent written and spoken command of English

Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills

Advanced self-leadership skills
