Load & Haul Product Support team has now a unique opportunity for a customer-focused Service Engineer. The position is permanent, full-time, and based in our division headquarters in Turku, Finland. The Turku site is a key product development and manufacturing center for our loading and hauling equipment.
Responsibilities
About your role
As a Service Engineer, you will deliver technical and application support for L&H equipment and provide troubleshooting assistance and technical guidance to Sales Area technical teams, strengthening their expertise through targeted trainings and sharing comprehensive product knowledge. The role combines hands-on technical work with modern digital tools. As industry evolves, digitalization and electrification are central to our support strategy. You will contribute by supporting connected equipment, telemetry solutions, analytics-driven diagnostics, and new electrified technologies. In addition, you will collaborate directly with end customers to address their specific needs.
Your daily tasks include various product support cases helping troubleshoot various technical issues. Also, you ensure efficient handling of customer feedback cases by understanding the end user needs and challenges. We are in an international business, so you need to communicate fluently in English (both written and spoken). This role requires global travel approximately from 5 to 14 weeks/year.
Key Responsibilities

Promote and ensure safe working methods in all tasks

Collaborate with engineering, R&D, product management, testing and quality improvement initiatives.

Travel to mine sites or workshops to support and troubleshoot activities regarding L&H equipment.

Conduct product technical training at customers' or Sandvik's premises when needed.

Participate in product development projects as an aftermarket professional and provide views on functionality, usability, durability, and serviceability.
Technical Skills
Preferably applicant would have good understanding of topics listed below. Level of understanding in these topics would be how to do troubleshooting to various systems, basic component knowledge, working principles as well as safe way of working.

About your background
We are looking for an energetic, cooperative person with skills to show initiative and a proven record of getting things done. You have a degree (e.g., Bachelor of Science) from a relevant technical field or you have gained already versatile technical work experience. To be successful in the position, you are experienced in electrics, automation and your experience/knowledge in hydraulics and mechanics is a big plus. An S3‑level electrical qualification or equivalent practical experience working with high‑ and low‑voltage systems is considered a clear advantage.

Handson understanding of heavy machinery, hydraulics, control systems, or mobile equipment.

Interest or experience in digitalization, telemetry, automation, or connected equipment.

Ability to interpret technical documentation, schematics, and diagnostics data.

Strong problem-solving skills and a customer focused mindset.

Good communication skills in English; additional languages are a plus.

Willingness to travel domestically and internationally when required.
