We are now seeking an active and energetic Director, Product Lifecycle Management for Stock Preparation & Recycled Fiber Technology.
Stock Preparation and Recycled Fiber (SPR) offers sustainable services, solutions, and equipment to process renewable fiber raw materials mainly for board, paper, tissue and pulp industry. Our range of products is wide, in some of which we are the established global market leader; in others there is more room for growth. In the new Valmet operating model, SPR drives the growth of services as well as new installations, which is an excellent opportunity to leverage the growth of lifecycle business. Our centers for technology are located in Tampere, Finland and Stockholm, Sweden. We have a world class pilot facility located in Inkeroinen, Finland.
In this role, your main responsibility is the growth of the lifecycle business globally

You will lead an organization of product technology professionals. Together with your team, you take strong responsibility over lifecycle product management.

You work in close contact with SPR sales, customer service and field service organizations in the area, supporting our customers and developing the day to day business.

You develop lifecycle solutions and products to process fiber and other renewable raw materials together with SPR's R&D and Product Technology functions.

You support Global Supply's manufacturing and engineering development, enabling profitable business growth, high customer satisfaction and efficient operations.
You will be an active member of the SPR's management team, and you report to VP, Stock Preparation & Recycled Fiber. Preferably, you will work from Tampere, Jyväskylä, Tikkurila or Stockholm. Other Valmet locations globally can be discussed.
To be successful in this position we expect you to have the following qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field is required, Master's degree preferred.

Experience in product lifecycle management or business development.

Understanding of service business within the industry.

Knowhow of the stock preparation technology is a key advantage.

Strategic thinking and systematic way of working.

Proactive drive of initiatives and proven leadership skills.
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, as well as presentation and influencing skills. All other language skills are beneficial.

Knowledge of key cultural differences. Skilled at working across global boundaries.

Capability to work in matrix type of organization. Good co-operation competence is a must in this position.

Willingness to travel.
