Nokia Technologies are looking for a Director of Business Strategy & Development, who drives strategy development and owns annual planning processes. In addition to Business Group strategy, the core responsibilities of the team include commercial strategy development and go-to-market planning, market intelligence, new business development, and management of cross-functional strategic projects.
HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
- Business Group strategy
- Owns strategy and annual planning processes at Nokia Technologies
- Delivers analytical insights into business performance and identifies development areas
- Drives strategic decision making with structured problem solving and rigorous data analysis
- Develops business and investment cases and argumentation for new business opportunities
- Collaborates closely across TECH to enable effective strategy development and implementation
- Develops high-quality decision materials and executive level presentations for key stakeholders
- Market intelligence
- Develops and maintains market data models (market sizing, breakdowns, forecasts)
- Delivers analytical insights into market trends, competitive dynamics, and business opportunities
- Identifies and leverages relevant internal and external data to deliver fit-for-purpose analyses
- Generates foresight, identifies market and business disruptions, analyzes competitive dynamics
- Leads the development of market intelligence processes, tools and methods
- Commercial strategy and business development
- Drives commercial strategy development and go-to-market planning
- Identifies and analyzes commercial opportunities (incl. market and opportunity sizing)
- Develops commercial approach for new verticals outside of existing licensing programs
- Develops new business opportunities to drive growth
- Strategic projects
- Facilitates and manages cross-functional projects and drives collaborative problem solving
- Drives data analysis, problem solving, and content development in strategic projects
- Performs rigorous analyses to deliver key insights and support decision making
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 8+ years of proven experience on strategy, market analysis, and analytical problem solving from top-tier strategy / management consulting, investment banking, or private equity
- Strong academic record with a master's degree in a relevant field
- Proven track-record of delivering excellent results in demanding fast-paced project environments
- Strategic thinker with a strong command of analytical problem solving and data analytics
- Highly proficient in market analysis, market modeling, and market opportunity sizing
- Strong command of P&L modeling, profitability and cash flow analysis, and business case modeling
- Experience in combining market and / or operational quantitative models with P&L modeling (e.g. as part of M&A or other strategic decision making)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to operate effectively at different levels of abstraction
- Able to handle complex concepts and translate complex analyses into clear recommendations
- Team player with ability and drive to independently produce quality deliverables on tight deadlines
