We are looking for a Senior Test Engineer in Tampere or Espoo, Finland to test our network management system, and more specifically its deployment. Our key focus is on lifecycle management for large virtualized/containerized software systems, managing deployment to various target environments; VMware, OpenStack, IaaS, running software on RHEL. You contribute to deployment tools testing and automation, and you excel on virtualized environments (i.e. OCP-V), Linux, troubleshooting, scripting (Shell, Python) and automation tools (Ansible).

HOW YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE AND WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
As our new Senior Test Engineer, you'll be at the heart of our network management system's deployment process. Here's what your day-to-day might look like:
- Conduct thorough testing, including DFMEA and automated tests, to maintain high quality
- Learn to troubleshoot complex demanding issues across different levels of our stack, for example our robust software for managing the lifecycle of large virtualized/containerized systems, Ansible automation, python scripts, and Jenkins pipelines
- Work with Kubernetes to orchestrate and scale our containerized applications
- Collaborate on CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth integration and delivery
You'll be working on systems that are deployed in hundreds of installations worldwide, so your contribution to testing will have a real, tangible impact on global communications infrastructure.
KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
You have:
- 8+ years of experience in software testing, including several years of experience of working with virtualized environments (VMware, OpenStack, OCP-V).
- Lead, plan and execute manual and automated testing activities
- Strong troubleshooting skills, along with solid knowledge of scripting languages (Shell, Python), automation tools (Ansible), and experience with containerized applications, Kubernetes (K8s), Jenkins, and Helm.
- You master the Linux and experience of leveraging the Linux Kernel Hypervisor (KVM) for virtualization management.
Nice to have:
- Red Hat OpenShift certification, and you understand the deployment of VMs alongside Pods .
- Familiar with GitOps' operational framework for infrastructure automation (alongside with DevOps, version control, CI/CD).
- Good team player and capable of performing under time/ customer pressure.
